Shelby Loos

Shelby Loos is an experienced veterinarian with a focus on marine life and veterinary education. Currently serving as a Relief/Contract Veterinarian with Veterinary Services and as a Lecturer at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science since August 2019, Shelby also contributes as a Volunteer Veterinarian at Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Previous roles include Staff Veterinarian at Miami Seaquarium and Island Dolphin Care, and Associate Veterinarian at Miami Seaquarium. Shelby's journey in veterinary medicine began with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida, complemented by a Bachelor of Marine and Atmospheric Science from the University of Miami. In addition, Shelby has participated in various volunteer efforts with organizations such as USGS Manatee Health Assessments and Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute.
