Manager (Investigations) Summary: As a Manager (Investigations), you will play a pivotal role in leading a team responsible for conducting OSINT investigations and claim verifications. Your primary focus will be gathering, analyzing, and verifying information from publicly available sources to support investigative projects and combat mis/disinformation. You will lead the development and implementation of fact-checking methodologies, oversee the execution of various projects, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of information disseminated.
Duties: Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the OSINT investigations and fact-checking team, aligning activities with organisational goals and priorities. Advanced Intelligence Operations Support: Support ongoing, highly complex intelligence collection and dissemination activities, leveraging advanced OSINT methodologies and techniques. Fact-Checking Oversight: Oversee the verification and validation of information or misinformation/disinformation claims obtained through OSINT channels, ensuring accuracy and reliability in reporting. Collection Strategy Development: Develop, coordinate, and maintain collection strategies, plans, and postures to fulfil client and business-driven needs, integrating fact-checking processes into collection activities. Intelligence Reporting: Prepare and review comprehensive intelligence reports, ensuring adherence to analytical standards and best practices in intelligence reporting. Tailored Reporting for Clients: Collaborate with stakeholders to collect, draft, review, and edit tailored intelligence reports and fact-checking assessments for client deliverables. Assistance to Analysts: Provide guidance and support to senior and junior analysts in organising materials, applying analytical techniques, and preparing final intelligence products. Mentoring and Training: Mentor and train OSINT analysts on using new collection tools, fact-checking methodologies, and best practices in open-source intelligence. Workflow Management: Review client collection needs, allocate resources accordingly, and assist in managing workflow and production schedules to meet project deadlines. Regional and Global Issues Understanding: Stay informed about critical regional and global issues across various subjects and integrate this knowledge into intelligence assessments and fact-checking activities.
Qualifications: Specialized Experience: - Minimum of 10 years of OSINT investigative work/Related field with demonstrated expertise in fact-checking and intelligence reporting. - Project delivery experience, especially in the public sector.
