Yury Gagarin

Yury Gagarin's work experience includes serving as a Sr. Platform Engineer at Logicworks since 2020. Previously, they worked at Pacific Gas and Electric Company as a Cloud Platform Engineer, Senior from 2017 to 2020, where they played a key role in designing and implementing modern infrastructure on AWS Cloud. Yury also served as the product owner for Container Services, overseeing the implementation of AWS Fargate and Amazon EKS. Before that, Yury worked as a Sr. IT Product Specialist at Pacific Gas and Electric Company from 2014 to 2018, specializing in VMware virtualization. Yury has extensive experience in compute virtualization and building hyper-converged compute infrastructures. Prior to that, Yury worked at NetXperts as a Systems Engineer from 2012 to 2014, where they led the design, implementation, and support of virtualized and physical server platforms. Yury also played a key role in implementing automated virtualized Disaster Recovery systems. Yury's earlier work experience includes roles as a Sr. Economist at Sberbank from 2011 to 2012, a Securities Settlement Specialist at Deutsche Bank from 2008 to 2011, and a Systems Engineer at Dresdner Bank from 2004 to 2008.

Yury Gagarin began their education in 1995 at the Baltic State Technical University "VOENMEH" named after D.F. Ustinov. Yury pursued a Master of Science equivalent degree in the field of Engineer, Automatic Control Systems, and completed their studies in 2001.

In 2006, Yury Gagarin enrolled at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, where they obtained a Master's degree in Finance and Credit (Financial Management) in 2008.

Aside from their formal education, Yury Gagarin also obtained various certifications. In February 2019, they completed the Machine Learning course offered by Stanford University on Coursera. Yury later obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2019. In December 2019, Yury Gagarin became a Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA). Additionally, they pursued certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional 5 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP5-DCV), and VMware Certified Professional 6 - Data Center Virtualization (VCP6-DCV), but the specific months and years of completion for these certifications are unknown.
