Kilmes Okoth has a diverse range of work experience in various roles within the logistics and customer service sectors. Kilmes started their career at iSON Xperiences Ltd as an Airtel Customer Service representative in 2014 and worked in that role until 2016. In 2016, they joined Airtel Kenya as an Airtel Money Complaints Management Executive, where they dealt with customer complaints. From 2017 to 2018, Kilmes worked at CCI Kenya as part of the ZUKU Satelite Back Office Team, handling customer account reconnections and troubleshooting.
In 2017, Kilmes joined Jumia Kenya and held several positions over the course of four years. Kilmes started as a Warehouse Operator, responsible for inbound receiving, quality control, and inventory management. Kilmes then progressed to the roles of Seller Operations & Reverse Logistics Associate, where they managed inventory, fleet, and team operations. Kilmes later became the Seller Operations & Reverse Logistics Team Lead, focusing on cost reduction strategies and financial modeling.
From 2019 to 2020, Kilmes worked at Jumia Kenya as an Outbound Hub in Charge/Store Manager, overseeing team management, SLA implementation, and delivery efficiency. From 2020 to 2021, they took on the role of Warehouse Order Fulfillment Manager, responsible for order fulfillment, customer experience, and quality control.
In 2021, Kilmes joined Speedaf Kenya as a Distribution Center Manager, overseeing inbound and outbound operations, product handling, and resource management. In early 2022, they moved to Tile & Carpet Centre Ltd as a Logistics Officer, managing order consolidation, route planning, and fleet allocation.
Currently, Kilmes is employed at Logistify AI as a Warehouse Operations Manager, where they are responsible for enforcing operational policies, managing the warehouse, and overseeing various operations like inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics.
Throughout their career, Kilmes has gained extensive experience in warehouse management, logistics optimization, team management, and customer service.
Kilmes Okoth has a Bachelor's degree in Operations and Supply Chain Management from the University of Nairobi. Kilmes earned this degree from 2021 to 2024. Prior to that, they completed an Associate's degree in Customs, Clearing and Forwarding from Nairobi Aviation College from 2013 to 2014.
