Amitai Stern

Amitai Stern is a seasoned software developer with significant experience in managing production systems, currently serving as the Software Developer and Manager of the Telemetry Storage Team at Logz.io since October 2018. Responsibilities include overseeing OpenSearch, Thanos, and M3 clusters, ensuring production stability, and executing cost-effective solutions. Notable achievements include managing migrations from Elasticsearch to OpenSearch and from M3DB to Thanos, as well as leading automation efforts for data management. Previously, Amitai held roles as a Backend Tech Lead, guiding complex features and managing backend guild activities. Additionally, involvement in the OpenSearch community and contributions to the OpenSearch Project as a Leadership Committee Member demonstrate a commitment to open-source collaboration. Amitai also has experience as a software engineer at Personetics and as a CS mathematics tutor at Aluma Foundation.
