Vanessa Massaro is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in geography and women's studies. Currently serving as Associate Professor and Chair at Bucknell University since July 2014, Vanessa has taught a range of geography courses and advised undergraduate students while co-directing the Field Research Teaching Lab. Previous roles include American Fellow at the American Association of University Women at AU, Graduate Instructor in the Department of Women's Studies at Penn State University, and various positions at Penn State including Research Assistant and Assistant Coordinator of Undergraduate and Alumni Programs in Geography. Early career experience includes project management with The Philadelphia Field Project and serving as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Arizona. Vanessa holds a PhD in Geography and Women's Studies from Penn State University, alongside an MA in Geography from the University of Arizona and a BS in Geography, Women's Studies, and Civic and Community Engagement from Penn State University.
