Julian Guy

Julian Guy is the current Director of Finance at Lomond School. Prior to this, they were the Managing Director at Kilbride Industrial Services for 20 years. Julian successfully established the company's high priority strategic initiatives and advised the senior management regarding strategy development, operations management, revenue growth, and expense reduction. Julian led the process for the business gaining Investor in People status as well as ISO 9001 and 14001 qualifications. Julian also designed business growth strategies and identified a significant new market for the business cleaning medium and large diameter water mains. Some of their notable achievements include growing the company's turnover from approximately £500K to £3.5 million, winning the UK Society of Trenchless Technology Innovation award in 2009, and the International Society of Trenchless Technology Product of the Year Award in 2011. Julian has also pro-actively developed two new variants of the system employing external design engineering resource enabling entry into parallel overseas markets.

Julian Guy attended the University of St Andrews, where they studied psychology. Julian also attended St Peters School in York and Red House School in Norton.

Julian Guy reports to Johanna Urquhart, Principal. They are on a team with Ailsa Lawn - Head of Junior School, Alister Minnis - Pastoral Depute, and Grant MacLeod - Head of Maths.
