Dan Pope

Dan Pope is an experienced planning professional currently serving as Chief Planning Officer for the London Borough of Camden since March 2019. Prior to this role, Dan held the position of Head of Planning/Development Planning Group Manager at the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham from August 2008 to December 2018, where significant improvements in service efficiency were achieved, including a three-fold increase in income and a 100% approval rate for major applications. Dan's earlier experience includes serving as Development Planning Team Leader and Senior Planning Officer at the London Borough of Havering, where notable achievements included securing the highest possible Housing and Planning Delivery Grant and leading initiatives such as the adoption of the London Riverside Urban Strategy. Dan holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Town and Country Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Town and Country Planning, both from Newcastle University.
