Chris Carthy

Chris Carthy has a diverse work experience in the field of housing and development. They started their career as an Architectural Assistant at Conran and Partners in 2007 and then worked as a Project Architect at Sarah Wigglesworth Architects from 2012 to 2017. From 2017 to 2020, they served as a Project Development Manager at LOCAL AGENDA LTD. Chris then worked as a Community Housing Enabler at community led housing london from 2018 to 2021. In 2020, they joined Igloo Regeneration as a Development Manager before moving on to become a Senior Development Manager at London Borough of Hackney in 2021. They are currently serving as the Head of Housing Delivery - South at the same organization.

Chris Carthy completed a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture (RIBA I) at The University of Sheffield from 2004 to 2007. Chris then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Transport & Urban Design at Oxford Brookes University from 2009 to 2010. Chris continued their education by earning a Master of Architecture (MArch RIBA II) in Architecture with Urban & Regional Planning at The University of Sheffield from 2010 to 2012, and another MArch (RIBA II) in Architecture at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2012. Chris completed a Professional Diploma in Architecture (RIBA III) at the University of Westminster from 2014 to 2015. Chris also obtained certifications such as Architect from the Architects Registration Board in 2015, and Professionally Qualified Person from the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) in 2014. In 2019, they became a Community Led Housing Accredited Advisor from the Chartered Institute of Housing.
