Jen Hayes

Jen Hayes is currently serving as the Teaching and Learning Development Manager at London Metropolitan University since August 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Adult and Higher Education and Curriculum Manager for Engineering at St Helens College from March 2019 to July 2023, as well as an Engineering Lecturer and Degree Apprenticeship Assessor at Solihull College & University Centre from January 2018 to March 2019. Jen has also held positions such as Head of Science at Gibraltar High and Physics Teacher at Torquay Academy. With a strong foundation in engineering, Jen served in various capacities within the Royal Navy from 2006 to 2013. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Education and Social Justice from Lancaster University, a Master of Arts in Education with Leadership from Wrexham University, and Bachelor degrees in Health Sciences and Mechanical Engineering, along with a PGCE.
