Anand Varma

Anand Varma is a highly experienced technology leader in the financial services sector, currently serving as Chief Information Officer at London Stock Exchange Plc since June 2018, after previously holding the role of Head of Equities Technology. Prior to joining London Stock Exchange Group, Anand Varma worked at Barclays Investment Bank as Head of European Equities Electronic Trading Technology from September 2014 to June 2018. Anand Varma's tenure at Barclays included positions as Vice President and Assistant Vice President in Equities Technology and Execution Connectivity Services, respectively. Early career experiences include software engineering roles at Oracle in Financial Services and National Stock Exchange of India Limited. Anand Varma holds an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai.
