Julian Alvarez

Julian Alvarez is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and public service. Currently serving as Senior Vice President at Lone Star National Bank since December 2022, Alvarez previously held significant roles including Commissioner Representing Labor at the Texas Workforce Commission from February 2016 to December 2022, advocating for the interests of over 14 million Texas workers. Earlier positions include President/CEO of the Rio Grande Valley Partnership from February 2012 to February 2016, South Texas Regional Director for Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison from January 2007 to February 2012, and State Trooper with the Texas Highway Patrol from August 2000 to December 2005. Julian Alvarez earned a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
