Taylor Tyler is an experienced criminalist with a strong background in forensic science and technology. Currently serving as a Criminalist II at the Long Beach Police Department since November 2016, Taylor specializes in crime scene documentation and evidence preservation. Prior experience includes conducting research at the Veterinary Genetics Laboratory for a master's thesis, where Taylor utilized PCR and sequencing techniques on canine DNA samples. Previous roles also feature laboratory technician work at Kiff Analytical, LLC, and an accounting assistant position at Weiss Sheet Metal Company, showcasing a diverse skill set. Taylor holds a Master of Science in Forensic Science and Technology from the University of California, Davis, and has completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology at California State University-San Bernardino, along with an Associate of Science in Forensic Science and Technology from Grossmont College.
