Sam Pinto

Sam Pinto, MPA, MS-E.M., currently serves as a Commissioned Officer - Ensign in the U.S. Coast Guard since June 2023 and has been a Professional Fire Lieutenant Paramedic with the City of Long Beach, NY Fire Department since September 2006. Pinto also holds the position of Union President for IAFF Local 287 and has been a publicly elected Trustee on the Long Beach City School District Board since July 2018 and on the Long Beach Public Library Board since March 2017, having served as Board President for the 2020-2021 term. Additionally, Pinto is an instructor at FIRE LIFE SAFETY SERVICES, LLC and previously worked as a Solar Ambassador for SunPower by EmPower Solar. Early career experience includes serving as an Emergency Medical Technician with the New York City Fire Department from January 2004 to August 2006. Academic qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Emergency Management from John Jay College, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Economics from Queens College.
