Kenneth A. Mcdonald

Kenneth McDonald serves as the President and CEO of Long Beach Transit since August 2013. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Engineering Manager at Parsons Brinckerhoff, overseeing significant transit projects across North America from November 2009 to July 2013. McDonald also held the position of Chief Operating Officer at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency from October 2006 to October 2009, where responsibilities encompassed operations and maintenance for a diverse range of transit vehicles. Additional experience at MARTA spanned nearly a decade, during which McDonald progressed through multiple leadership roles, including Assistant General Manager - Operations and Director of Rail Vehicle Maintenance, focusing on operational planning, capital programs, and maintenance strategies. An educational background includes a Master's degree in Management with a specialization in Management of Technology and Electrical Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University.
