Heather Valdespino

Heather Valdespino is an experienced educator with a focus on history and curriculum development. Currently serving as an AP US History Teacher at Long Beach Unified School District since August 2015, Valdespino also co-founded Science Curriculum Innovations, LLC., where the co-authorship of LAWS: Literacy and Writing in Science reflects expertise in supplemental science writing curricula. Prior roles include a Middle School History Teacher and Coach for the Supporting Teacher Effectiveness Project at Long Beach Unified School District from 2000 to 2015, and a Curriculum Presenter at UCLA Center X. Valdespino holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from American College of Education, and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Education and Anthropology, respectively, from California State University-Dominguez Hills.
