Joseph Carpenter

Joseph Carpenter has extensive experience in engineering education and industry, serving as an Engineering Scientist and CTE Instructor at Long Beach Unified School District since August 1992. In this role, Joseph leads The CARPA (CAMS Advanced Research Project Agency) Initiative, an innovative program that presents college-level engineering challenges to students aspiring to enter engineering or STEM fields. Prior to this, Joseph worked at Northrop Grumman from July 1980 to June 2014 as an Engineering Scientist and Senior Design Engineer. Joseph holds a degree from California State University, Long Beach.
