Maurissa Duncan

Maurissa Duncan has a diverse experience in education and customer service, currently serving as a Multiple Subject Teacher at Compton Unified School District since December 2016. Since 2006, Maurissa has also worked in various capacities at Long Beach Unified School District, including as an Instructional Aide in Special Education, a Recreational Aide, and a Substitute Teacher. Earlier roles include tutoring in reading and math for America Reads/Counts and positions at American Golf Corporation, Blockbuster, and Alpert Jewish Community Center, where skills in customer service, management, and child supervision were developed. Maurissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a focus on Education Studies from California State University, Long Beach, earned between 2010 and 2013.
