Beth Ann Balalaos

Access And Inclusion Program Director at Long Island Children's Museum

Beth Ann Balalaos has a diverse work experience in the museum and nonprofit sectors. Beth Ann is currently serving as the Access and Inclusion Program Director at the Long Island Children's Museum since December 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Access and Inclusion Manager from October 2018 to December 2022 and served as the LICM4all Accessibility Program Coordinator from June 2016 to October 2018. Beth Ann initially started their career with the museum as an Educator from August 2014 to May 2016 and also worked as an Education Intern for a brief period in June-August 2014.

In addition to their work at the Long Island Children's Museum, Beth Ann Balalaos is also actively involved in the Museum Association of New York, where they serve as a Member of the Board of Directors since April 2022.

Furthermore, they have experience as a Community Fellow at the Institute for Nonprofit Practice from January 2020 to June 2020.

Beth Ann Balalaos (she/her) earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Adelphi University from 2011 to 2015. Beth Ann then continued their education at Adelphi University, completing a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching with Advanced Certification in Special Education from 2015 to 2016.
