Joseph S. Wiener

Joseph S. Wiener is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in insurance coverage and complex litigation. Currently serving as Assistant General Counsel at Long Island Power Authority since January 2015, Joseph oversees a diverse litigation portfolio and provides legal counsel on various issues. Previous positions include Senior Coverage Attorney at AmTrust North America and Tower Group Companies, Regional Coverage Counsel at Hanover Insurance Group, and Associate roles at Lustig & Brown, LLP and McCarrick & Mayer. Joseph began a legal career as an Assistant District Attorney at Nassau County District Attorney's Office, where significant prosecutorial experience was gained. Joseph holds a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/History from Hofstra University, alongside an Associate of Arts degree from Nassau Community College.
