Mindy Hopgood, PHR, SHRM-CP

Mindy Hopgood, PHR, SHRM-CP has over 20 years of experience in human resources. Mindy most recently worked as the Director of Human Resources at Long Wave Inc., where they provided HR support to over 80 employees in 12 states. Their responsibilities included recruiting, progressive discipline, and benefit management. Prior to that, Mindy held the position of Human Resources Manager at Nichols Brothers Boat Builders and HR Manager at Chugach Industries Inc. In these roles, they managed various aspects of HR, including union negotiations, hiring, terminations, training, and policy implementation. Mindy began their HR career as a Human Resources Specialist at Chugach Development Corporation and as a Human Resources Assistant at Island County. Their experience includes working with CBAs, the Service Contract Act, Davis Bacon, and managing workers compensation and FMLA. Mindy is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and has obtained the Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification.

Mindy Hopgood, PHR, SHRM-CP, has a Bachelor's degree in Business/Human Resource Management from Capella University, which they obtained in 2020. In 2009, they obtained a HR Certification from Cornell University. Mindy also holds additional certifications including the SHRM-CP from the Society of Human Resources Management, obtained in 2015, and the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI, obtained in May 2009. Mindy's education also includes attendance at Skagit Valley College, although no specific degree or field of study is provided for that institution.
