International Project Coordination at Longenesis

Svjatoslavs Kistkins has a diverse work experience in the medical and research fields. Starting in 2017, Kistkins worked at the Latvian Biomedical Research & Study Centre, where they focused on biomedical research and drug discovery, including the development of antimicrobial agents and the impact of pancreatic hormones on glucose metabolism. Kistkins also participated in the development of a drug delivery system for dental implants.

In 2019, Kistkins joined Koatum as a Business Development Specialist, where they worked until 2023. During this time, they coordinated and managed the preclinical validation of a DNA-based vaccine for SARS-CoV2 at SIA Teragen. Kistkins then joined Longenesis as a Medical Affairs Manager, responsible for coordinating medical activities.

In 2020, Kistkins held multiple roles at the Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital, including Clinical Trial Manager and Endocrinologist (residency). Kistkins also worked as a Translational Research Specialist and later became a Clinical Trial Lead. Since 2023, Kistkins has been a Lecturer at the same hospital.

Starting in 2022, Kistkins also began working as a Research Assistant at Riga Stradins University and as a Researcher at Riga Technical University. Additionally, in 2021, Kistkins worked as a Physician-Expert at Hipnos SIA.

Most recently, in 2023, Kistkins joined Longenesis again in the role of International Project Coordination. In this role, Kistkins is responsible for arranging EU-funded interdisciplinary projects related to GDPR-based health data management. This involves collaborating with members of the EU network of biobanks, research/clinical institutes, and academia.

Svjatoslavs Kistkins began their education in 2011 at the University of Latvia, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Life Science. After completing this program in 2014, they continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in Medicine in 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Svjatoslavs Kistkins also pursued additional certifications. In March 2022, they obtained a certification in Good Clinical Practice from the Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital. Subsequently, in February 2023, they obtained a certification in Transfusiology, also from the same institution.
