Nathan Adams

Vice President, Energy Storage at Longroad Energy

Nathan Adams has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Starting in 1999, they worked as an Analyst for Resource Insight before moving on to Platts Research and Consulting as a Development Manager. In 2005, Nathan joined Weyerhaeuser as a Forward Planning Manager, where they successfully led various projects including property divestiture and technology start-up acquisition. In 2007, they transitioned to Puget Sound Energy, serving as a Senior Commercial Manager and later as the Manager of Financial Planning, Strategic Initiatives, and Emerging Technologies. During their time at Puget Sound Energy, they played a key role in negotiating market power purchase agreements, managing the company's exposure to the Lehman Bankruptcy, overseeing the acquisition of a power generation project, and reviewing renewable and thermal generating proposals. In 2014, Nathan joined Green Mountain Power as the Vice President of Strategy and Innovation before moving on to ABB in 2015, where they held the position of Director of Technology and Business Development until 2020. Nathan then joined Hitachi ABB Power Grids as the Director of Technology and Business Development for a short period before becoming the Vice President of Energy Storage at Longroad Energy in 2021.

Nathan Adams completed their BA in Economics and Psychology from the University of Vermont from 1992 to 1996. Following that, they pursued an MBA degree in Finance at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business, which they completed from 2003 to 2005.
