Benjamin Smejkal

Benjamin Smejkal is a seasoned professional in the field of biochemical engineering, currently serving as a Senior Group Leader in Analytical Method Validation and Project Leader for Process Development Bioconjugates at Lonza since May 2014. Benjamin has extensive experience in process implementation, optimization, manufacturing support, and analytical method development under GMP conditions. Prior to his role at Lonza, Benjamin held positions at TU München as a Scientist focused on therapeutic antibody purification, and at Helmholtz Zentrum München as a Research Associate studying blood stem cell self-renewal. Benjamin completed a Dr. rer. nat. in Biochemical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Molecular Biotechnology from the Technical University of Munich.
