Gillian Hughes

Gillian Hughes is a seasoned professional in program and project management with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical, consulting, and marketing sectors. Currently serving as Director of Program Management at Lonza since August 2021, Gillian oversees a portfolio of approximately £10 million and leads a team of six, driving global business transformation within the Finance division. Prior to this role, Gillian held key positions at Capgemini Invent, where responsibilities included running the Transformation Office for HSBC Bank's Technology Transformation portfolio, supporting over $1 billion in global programs, and at Deloitte, managing projects for major clients such as BP and TfL. Early career experience includes sales and marketing roles at Otis Elevator Company. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin and a Diploma of Marketing Practice from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
