Jim McIntyre

Jim McIntyre is a seasoned professional in the biotechnology and process development sectors, currently serving as Senior Director and Head of Global MSAT Biologics at Lonza since February 2016. McIntyre leads a team focused on process technology transfer and the deployment of new technologies within the Biologics division across multiple continents. Prior to Lonza, McIntyre was Head of Process Development and Technical Operations at Green Biologics Ltd., overseeing R&D and pilot plant operations in the UK and US, with an emphasis on renewable chemicals via fermentation processes. With extensive experience at Eli Lilly for 18 years as a Technical Director, McIntyre contributed significantly in manufacturing and process development of APIs, and earlier held a position as a Research Scientist at Pfizer, specializing in microbial process research and development. McIntyre holds a PhD in Biotechnology with a focus on microbial physiology from the University of Kent.
