Blue Newswander

Blue Newswander is a dedicated social services professional with extensive experience working with youth in various capacities. Currently serving as a Social Services Assistant at Looking Glass Community Services since October 2021, Blue provides support to youth aged 12-17 in residential care, focusing on facilitating routines, conflict resolution, and life skills development through trauma-informed care and motivational interviewing. Prior experience includes serving as a Street Outreach Worker, where responsibilities involved supporting un-housed and at-risk youth aged 16-24 through a low-barrier drop-in center. Blue also worked as a Youth Mentor at Logan River Academy, and held a role as Marketing Director at Utah State University, contributing to the university's social media and advertising efforts. Blue holds a Bachelor of Science in Cultural Anthropology from Utah State University.
