Dave Golombek

Director Of Technology at Lookout

Dave Golombek has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Dave started their career at Integrated Computing Engines in 1994 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were involved in various projects, including the design and implementation of simulators and device drivers. Dave then joined Maker Communications in 1998 as a Senior Tools Engineer, where they worked on software tools such as assemblers, compilers, and debuggers. In 2000, Maker Communications was acquired by Conexant Systems, and Dave's role remained the same.

In the same year, Dave also joined Permabit, Inc as a Principal Software Engineer. During their time there, they were responsible for designing and implementing systems for message parsing, queueing, and dispatching, as well as message routing schemes for large server clusters. Dave also worked on transaction processing schemes to ensure synchronization and proper ordering of messages.

From 2006 to 2009, Dave worked at Black Duck Software as a Senior Software Engineer, where they played a key role in designing and implementing their export product line.

Since 2009, Dave has been working at Lookout as the Director of Technology. Dave has been instrumental in building their mobile clients, server backend, automation, testing, and infrastructure. Dave has also been involved in recruiting and scaling the team, as well as leading various teams within the company. Throughout their career, Dave has consistently been one of the top individual contributors in the company.

Dave Golombek attended Hart High School from 1990 to 1994. Afterward, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1994 to 1998.
