Sr. Security Intelligence Researcher at Lookout

Usman Khan has a diverse range of work experience in the field of cybersecurity and research. Usman is currently working at Lookout as a Sr. Security Intelligence Researcher. Prior to this, they worked at ExpressVPN as a Sr. Penetration Tester, where they were responsible for conducting security assessments, reviewing infrastructure implementations, and triaging reported issues on the bug bounty program. Usman also served as a Manager and Assistant Manager at KPMG Singapore, where they conducted vulnerability assessments, simulated phishing exercises, reviewed network architectures, and researched new attack methods. Usman has also worked at V-Key as the Head of Innovation and as a Mobile Security Researcher, at FireEye, Inc. as an Android Malware Researcher, at Zong (China Mobile Pakistan) as an Intern in the BSS Department, and at Robotics and Intelligent Systems Engineering Lab, SMME, NUST as a Research Assistant.

Usman Khan completed their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS), NUST. Usman attended this institution from 2008 to 2012. In addition to their degree, Usman also obtained the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification from Offensive Security in September 2018.
