Rick Jia started their work experience in 2002 as a Software Developer at Motorola Solutions, where they implemented the EWA platform and sales channel management system. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a System Manager at Citigroup Software Technology and Services (China) Limited. In 2007, they joined eBay China R&D Center as a Senior Developer, focusing on the design and development of key search components. In 2008, they joined ThoughtWorks as a Principal Consultant, where they played technical principal and architect roles for clients in various industries. Yang (Rick) also served as the Beijing Office Principal and was responsible for running the office, organizing the leadership team, and executing the office development plan. In 2016, they joined Lookout as a Staff Software Engineer.
Rick Yang Jia has a strong educational background in Management Information Systems. Yang (Rick) obtained a Master's Degree in Management Information Systems from the Communication University of China, where they studied from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, also from the Communication University of China, where they studied from 1995 to 1999.
In addition to their formal education, Rick Jia has also acquired additional certifications. In January 2017, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera Course Certificates. Furthermore, in November 2004, they obtained the Sun Certified Java Programmer, Developer, and Architect certifications from Sun Microsystems.
