Zane Whitney

Zane Whitney has diverse work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Zane is currently working at Fidelity Investments as a Senior iOS Developer since June 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior iOS Engineer at Fidelity Investments from June 2022 to July 2023. Before joining Fidelity Investments, Zane worked as a Senior iOS Engineer at Lookout starting from February 2021.

Zane's previous experience includes working at SimpliSafe as a Software Engineer II from November 2016 to May 2019. During this time, they developed features for the iOS app, automated provisioning, code signing, building, and distribution of debug builds using Fastlane and .xcconfig build scripts. Additionally, they served as a QA Automation Engineer at SimpliSafe from April 2016 to November 2016, where they developed a UI automation test suite for the iOS app and performed regression and feature testing.

In 2013, Zane worked as an AppCloud Engineer Co-op at Brightcove, implementing bug fixes, developing an Android concept app, and creating automation tests for the internal framework sample app. Zane also gained experience as a Software Development Intern at SAP in 2012, where they extended the functionality of the HANA Oncolyzer iPad app using internal frameworks written in Objective-C and improved the UI using Apple's UIKit framework. Prior to this, Zane worked as a QA Engineer Co-op at Xamarin in 2012, where they ported Android code samples from Java to C# and compared the performance of Mono for Android and Dalvik.

Zane's earliest work experience was as a Bagger at Market Basket from May 2005 to November 2008, where they handled customer's groceries, returned carriages to the store, and performed cleaning tasks as needed.

Zane Whitney completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University, where they studied from 2009 to 2015.
