Alexis Hannart has a diverse work experience in the fields of technology, academia, and climate change.

Starting in 1998, Hannart worked as a Quantitative Analyst at Société Générale, where they conducted research in equity and equity derivatives.

In 1999, Hannart joined Capital One as a Data Scientist, where they developed machine learning algorithms and led the Data Science team of the French branch.

From 2005 to 2007, Hannart served as the Head of Management Analytics at CNRS, leading a new Business Intelligence and Management Analytics team and designing data-driven decision-making tools for the organization.

Hannart then joined CNRS as a researcher and Laboratory Deputy Director from 2010 to 2017, leading a research team in Computational Statistics applied to Weather and Climate science. Their research interests included Gaussian processes, Bayesian networks, and causal inference.

From 2017 to 2019, Hannart worked as a Principal Research Scientist at Ouranos, leading research on environmental risk assessment and adaptation to climate change.

Starting in 2020, Hannart served as the Chief Scientific Officer at Axionable, where they led the development of ML/AI solutions, including ARCADE and SWITCH, which focused on NLP-driven automation and AI-driven solutions for climate-related risks mapping.

Most recently, Hannart joined LooksGoodAI in 2021 as the Chief Technology Officer.

In addition to their corporate experience, Hannart also worked as an Adjunct Professor at McGill University starting in 2018.

Alexis Hannart started their education in 1994 when they enrolled at École Polytechnique. Alexis pursued a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and completed their studies in 1997. Following this, from 1997 to 1999, they attended ENSAE Paris, where they obtained another Master of Science degree, this time in Data Science. After a gap of several years, in 2008, Alexis returned to their academic journey and joined Sorbonne University. Over the course of two years, until 2010, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Environmental Statistics.
