John Russell

John Russell is an executive vice president and member of the Board of Directors at Loomis, Sayles & Company. As head of human resources and senior counsel, he is responsible for all human resources functions including employee relations, compensation, recruitment, employee benefits and organizational development. John also provides legal advice on general corporate matters. Prior to joining Loomis Sayles in 1997, John worked for Harvard Pilgrim Health Care as assistant general counsel. He began his legal career in private practice with law firms in Providence, Rhode Island and Boston. John earned a BA from Amherst College and a JD from Boston College Law School.
