Bob Hendrikx is a CEO and Founder of Loop, a company focused on restoring nature by bringing human nutrients back into the loop-of-life. Bob has designed the world's first living coffin and has been featured on international media outlets such as CNN, Dezeen, BBC, and Wired. Bob is also a Research Affiliate at MIT Media Lab's Community Biotechnology Initiative, where they explore a future world in which humans and nature can live in harmony. Additionally, Bob is an Inventor, Architect, and Biodesigner at Studio Hendrikx. Bob has spoken at TED Conferences, giving over 100 presentations on inspiring and empowering people towards a Living Future in collaboration with Living Organisms. Bob is also a Biodesigner and Material Scientist at Dutch Design Week, where they contributed to the creation of the world's first living home. Furthermore, they are a member of the DJ100, which recognizes young sustainable pioneers in the Netherlands. Bob is a Founder of Super Power, a company that developed a monthly subscription for sustainable housing technologies, and a participant in YES!Delft's Student Startup Program. Bob has also worked as a Researcher for the United Nations, where they developed a waste management strategy in the Maldives. Additionally, Bob is the Founder and a member of the Board of Directors of The Motown Movement, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting climate change. Bob raised $250K through a successful crowdfunding campaign and was responsible for strategy, business development, and PR.
Bob Hendrikx's education history is as follows:
- From 2012 to 2015, Bob attended Delft University of Technology and completed a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and the Built Environment, including participation in the Honours Programme.
- In 2016 and 2017, Bob studied as an exchange student at Lawrence Technological University in The College of Architecture and Design.
