Michael Johnson

Michael Johnson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities.

Starting in 2014, they worked at CMMS Data Group as a PSG Technical Support Representative before being promoted to the position of Technical Support Manager in 2016.

In 2018, Michael joined AHIMA as a Business Intelligence Engineer, where they played a crucial role in maintaining legacy SSRS reports and transitioning the organization to a more modern approach using Power BI and a custom-built SQL Server data warehouse. Michael worked closely with different business units to ensure accurate and data-driven reporting.

Currently, Michael is employed at Loop Media, Inc. as a Business Intelligence Engineer since September 2021. Michael joined the company to develop a Snowflake data lakehouse supported BI environment, leveraging technologies like Python, SQL, AWS, Docker, and Sigma Computing. Their work focuses on enabling data delivery to support operational requirements and data-driven decision-making, thus maintaining Loop's competitive advantage. In January 2023, they transitioned to the role of Director of Business Intelligence, further enhancing their responsibilities and contributions to the company.

Michael Johnson pursued their educational journey with a Bachelor's Degree in History from Northern Illinois University, which they successfully completed from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they attended Waubonsee Community College from 2007 to 2008, where they studied History.

In 2018, Michael enrolled in Northeastern University to pursue a Masters of Professional Studies in Analytics, which they completed in 2021. Michael further enhanced their skills and knowledge through additional certifications, including "Hands-On Essentials - Data Warehouse" from Snowflake, obtained in September 2021. Additionally, Michael obtained certifications from Northeastern University, namely the "Experiential Network" and the "Masters Program (Master)" in July 2021.
