Pierre van den Oord

Pierre van den Oord has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2004, they started their entrepreneurial journey with FleXgaming, a company focused on renting nodes for internet gaming and colocation. Pierre successfully managed 75 monthly paying customers and server equipment in Rotterdam.

In 2005, Pierre founded LikeFiction, where they developed administration systems with technical students and freelancers. The company had 373 customers in the database and a turnover of €15,000/year.

From 2007 to 2008, Pierre served as Coordinator, Participant, and Treasurer for the Sefa Research Project. Pierre coordinated diverse committees, set up a new accounting system, and created and presented budgets.

In 2009, Pierre joined ASVA Student Union as a member of the Audit Committee. Pierre reported on the correctness of financial reports and procedures, introduced new financial checks, and assisted with financial inquiries until 2011.

Pierre worked at ING DIRECT España in 2013, where they held a Marketing & Strategy role. Pierre contributed to the development of new product features and client analyses, demonstrated the impact of member-get-member marketing, and corrected calculations in a previous business case, proving the profitability of the student market.

From 2012 to 2012, Pierre was a Start-up Assistant at Gingermood, gaining experience in supporting start-up operations.

In 2013, Pierre joined ING, starting as a Management Trainee at Sales Support SME and later transitioning to the role of Marketeer in an agile working environment. Pierre successfully grew the consumer loans portfolio, demonstrated proof for price elasticity resulting in volume and profit increases. Pierre stayed at ING until February 2017.

Since 2015, Pierre has been a co-founder and the CMO of LOQED. As a marketing expert, they have been responsible for promoting and marketing their keyless smart lock, the LOQED Touch Smart Lock.

Pierre van den Oord began their education at Visser 't Hooft Lyceum, where they completed their VWO degree in 2005. During this time, they focused on a well-rounded education, studying Physics, Economics, English, French, German, Mathematics, and History.

Following their high school graduation, Pierre attended the University of Amsterdam from 2005 to 2010. Pierre pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics and business, specializing in Finance.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Pierre continued their education at the University of Amsterdam, where they pursued a Master's degree in Business Economics with a specialization in Finance. Pierre attended the university from 2010 to 2011, gaining further knowledge in their chosen field.

In addition to their formal education, Pierre also obtained certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2013, they earned the Prince2 Foundation certification from APMG International. Then, in 2015, they achieved the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from UNC Plus Delta. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
