Serj Smorodinsky has extensive work experience in the field of machine learning, particularly in the areas of natural language processing (NLP) and voice transcription pipelines. Currently, they serve as the Machine Learning Team Lead (NLP) at Loris.ai, where they are responsible for tackling complex NLP problems, leading the team, and implementing cutting-edge research strategies.

Prior to this, Serj worked as a Machine Learning Consultant for various startups in 2021. In this role, they provided expert guidance and consultation on machine learning techniques.

From 2019 to 2022, Serj worked at Sensi.AI as the Machine Learning Lead. Here, they designed and implemented machine learning and deep learning techniques for recognizing events and identifying issues in a care environment using audio and speech signals. Serj also secured IIAA grants for the company.

Before joining Sensi.AI, Serj worked as the Lead Developer at RenewSenses from 2018 to 2019. Serj led the research and development efforts of this early-stage AI-driven startup, which focused on providing real-time visual-to-sound conversion for the visually impaired and the blind.

From 2016 to 2018, Serj was employed at AppLovin as a Lead Developer, contributing to the Android SDK, backend, frontend, and machine learning strategy. Serj also mentored developers on various techniques.

Prior to that, Serj worked as an Android Developer at ooVoo Labs (Krush Technologies) in 2016. Serj also gained experience as a Software Engineer at Autodesk in 2013-2014.

Serj Smorodinsky possesses a strong academic background, having pursued an MSc degree at Bar-Ilan University from 2013 to 2015.

Serj Smorodinsky completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Bioinformatics from Bar-Ilan University from 2011 to 2013. Serj then pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) in Bioinformatics from Bar-Ilan University from 2010 to 2015.
