Jay Bell

Director at Los Angeles Conservation Corps, Inc.

Jay Bell is a Senior Vice President with TELACU Construction Management, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TELACU Industries, the for-profit holding company of TELACU, the nation’s largest Community Development Corporation. Jay’s responsibilities include the planning and development of community assets, with a specific focus on parks, K-14 educational facilities, and disaster recovery. As a practicing social entrepreneur, Jay works closely with TELACU partners in the development of self-sustaining business models.

In addition to his work, Jay has served on the Legislative Committee for the Coalition for Adequate School Housing and as a board member for Californians for School Facilities, a federal advocacy group. Jay is currently on the board of the Ecke YMCA and the Encinitas Arts Culture and Ecology Alliance and is the current President of the Encinitas Educational Foundation.

A working artist, Jay has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design and studied Construction Management at the Pratt Institute.
