Clemens Hong

Clemens Hong has extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Clemens currently serves as the Director of Community Programs at the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. In this role, they have also served as Acting Director and previously held positions as the Lead for COVID-19 Testing and Medical Director for Community Health Improvement. Prior to their current position, they were a Fellow in the CHCF Health Care Leadership Program.

Clemens Hong co-founded Anansi Health where they served as the Chief Science & Innovation Officer. Clemens also had roles at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where they worked as a Primary Care Physician & Researcher and held positions as an Instructor of Medicine and Fellow in General Medicine and Primary Care, respectively. Additionally, they co-founded and served on the Executive Board of the Transitions Clinic Network. Clemens began their career as a Resident at the University of California, San Francisco.

Clemens Hong earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from the University of Washington from 1993 to 1997. Clemens then pursued further education at Tufts University School of Medicine, where they completed a Master's Degree in Public Health from 1998 to 2003. During the same period, they also obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. From 2007 to 2009, Clemens attended the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health for a program in Clinical Effectiveness, although they did not receive a degree.
