Director Of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion And Anti-racism at Los Angeles County Department of Health Services

Danielle Gautt has extensive work experience in the field of mental health and social services. Danielle has held various roles in different organizations, starting from their early experience as a Psychiatric Social Work Intern at Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services. Danielle then worked as a Psychiatric Social Work Intern at Health and Human Services, Family Youth and Children Services. Later on, they became a Psychiatric Social Worker I/II at Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health Augustus F. Hawkins Family Mental Health Clinic, where they provided clinical supervision and implemented evidence-based practices.

Danielle then joined the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health Psychiatric Emergency Response Team Service Area six as a Psychiatric Social Worker II. Danielle provided psychiatric services and support to individuals in crisis situations. Danielle also worked as a Mental Health Clinical Supervisor at the same department, overseeing the Full Service Partnership- Transitional Age Youth Program and conducting performance evaluations.

Continuing their career, Danielle became a Mental Health Counselor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Danielle played a vital role in addressing mental health inequities across campus and collaborated with campus partners to develop and implement programs for faculty and staff training. Danielle co-chaired committees and collaborated with various departments to ensure inclusive and culturally sensitive care.

Danielle then worked as an LCSW at Stanford University, providing counseling services and coordinating care across clinical departments. Danielle also served as a gender-affirming care provider and advocate.

Danielle later transitioned to the University of Southern California as an Assistant Director of Outreach and Prevention Services. In this role, they were responsible for outreach and prevention initiatives.

Currently, Danielle holds the position of Director of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism at the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services. Their work focuses on promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in the healthcare system.

Throughout their career, Danielle has demonstrated a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as a dedication to providing quality mental health services to underrepresented communities.

Danielle Gautt holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from California State University, Northridge, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015. Before that, they earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a mental health focus from the University of California, Berkeley, from 2006 to 2008. Danielle also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Urban Studies/Affairs from Loyola Marymount University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006.
