Deborah Hernandez

Deborah Hernandez currently serves as a Senior GIS Analyst at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health since April 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Geographic Information Systems Technician with the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works and as a Project Geologic Specialist and Geologic Staff at Stantec. Deborah has also managed projects and coordinated efforts at Loot Crate, and contributed as a Research Assistant in planetary geology at both NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and NASA Ames Research Center. Deborah began a career as a Bank Teller at Wells Fargo and had an internship as an Aerospace Engineer at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Education includes a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science from California State University, Long Beach, and a Master's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, alongside a GIS certificate from California State University, Fullerton. Additionally, a Bachelor's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences was obtained at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
