LOS ANGELES COUNTY MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY FOUNDATION
Priscilla San Juan is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County since February 2023, following a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Stanford University (2016-2022). During their academic career, Priscilla San Juan has focused on wildlife gut microbiomes. Prior research experience includes roles as a PhD student at Stanford University, as well as student researcher positions at UC Irvine and King's College London, where diverse studies included biochemical activity of amylase isoforms, the effects of perchlorate exposure on nematodes, and the research of antibiotic-resistant genes in environmental bacteria. Early in their career, Priscilla San Juan gained experience as a research intern at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, assessing levee health using advanced geospatial tools. Priscilla San Juan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from UC Irvine and an Associate of Arts in Biology from Fullerton College.
