John Odgers

Assistant Strength Coach at Los Angeles Kings

John Odgers is currently the Assistant Strength Coach for the Los Angeles Kings. John was previously the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Iowa Wild from July 2019 to July 2021. Prior to that, they were a Strength and Conditioning Intern for the San Jose Sharks from June 2017 to September 2017. From September 2016 to July 2019, they were the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the University of Regina. John has also been a Personal Trainer at Trench Fitness from August 2015 to July 2019.

John Odgers has a PhD in School of Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Lincoln. John also has an MSc in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Regina, and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the University of Regina. In addition, they are certified by Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). John is also certified by Functional Movement Systems (FMS) as an FMS Level 1.

Their manager is Trent Frey, Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.
