Marissa Honda is a seasoned oboist and educator based in the Greater Los Angeles Area, with extensive experience as a freelance performer and teaching artist. Since 2011, Marissa has performed with esteemed organizations such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic, New West Symphony, and Fresno Grand Opera. Currently, Marissa serves as a Teaching Artist for Youth Orchestra Los Angeles and teaches applied music lessons at multiple colleges, including Mt. San Antonio College and Citrus College. Marissa holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Oboe Performance from the University of Southern California, where education also includes a Master and Bachelor of Music in the same field, complemented by a minor in Communications.
