Kurt Gies

Kurt Gies is the Director, Social Media & Influencers for the Los Angeles Rams. In this role, they oversee the team's social media team, coordinating the editorial calendar, content production, and reporting. Kurt also leads the creative direction on social platforms for moments, evergreen content, and tentpole events.

Prior to joining the Rams, Kurt was the Manager of Social Media for the LA Clippers from June 2019 to November 2021. In this role, they were responsible for leading the creative direction on social platforms, maintaining digital style guides, and assisting in the ideation and creation of sponsored content.

Before their work with the Clippers, Kurt was the Manager of Social Media for the Philadelphia 76ers from November 2015 to July 2019. In this role, they led social media strategy, including social voice, content series, annual KPIs, and goal setting. Kurt also served as the basketball photographer, tasked with servicing assets internally and externally, tagging, and storage.

Kurt began their career in 2012 as an Account Coordinator for LevLane. In this role, they provided administrative support to account managers and assisted with proposals and client presentations. Kurt was promoted to Account Manager in 2013 and worked with clients on their social media strategy and execution. In 2015, they joined NBC Sports Philadelphia as their Manager of Social Media.

Kurt Gies graduated from La Salle University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing.
