Derek Polka is the current Policy & Research Manager at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. Derek has previous experience working as a Civil Rights Assistant at the Anti-Defamation League, a Stage Manager at EndGames Improv, and a Senior Outreach Specialist at the SF-Marin Food Bank. Derek also has experience working as a Development Coordinator at the Homeless Garden Project and a Community Impact Coordinator at United Way Monterey County. Derek has a passion for helping others and improving their community. Derek is dedicated to their work and is always looking for ways to help those in need.
Derek Polka completed a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with a focus on Food Security and Global Governance from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Derek also holds a B.A. in Sociology and Psychology from UC Santa Barbara.
