Ian Ross Singleton is an experienced educator and writer, currently serving as a Lecturer at the University at Albany, SUNY since August 2022. Singleton holds multiple editorial and contributing roles, including Nonfiction Editor at Asymptote Journal and Freelance Contributor at the Los Angeles Review of Books. Prior experience includes teaching positions at Baruch College, Fordham University, and CUNY New York City College of Technology, as well as a role as a Copy Cataloger at the Leo Baeck Institute. In addition, Singleton has worked as an English Translator for TransPerfect and contributed to the Fiction Writers Review, writing essays, book reviews, and conducting interviews. Educational qualifications include a Master of Fine Arts in Fiction from Emerson College and another MFA in Creative Writing from Harvard University, complemented by a BA in Comparative Literature/Creative Writing from the University of Michigan. Singleton also participated as a judge for the Hopwood Award at the University of Michigan in early 2017.
