Norma Angelica Hernandez

Norma Angelica Hernandez has extensive experience in the education and mental health sectors, with a current role as an Adult Teacher Counselor and Career Instructor at Los Angeles Unified School District since June 2023. Prior to this, Hernandez worked for LAUSD from June 2004 to June 2023 in various capacities, including Disability Support Services Advisor and Adult Education AA. Experience also includes internships as a Psychiatric Social Worker Intern and Pupil Services and Attendance Intern at LAUSD, as well as a Clinical Therapist Intern at Los Angeles Child Guidance Clinic, specializing in family-centered mental health services. Hernandez holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California and multiple degrees, including a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Sector Management from California State University, Northridge, and two Associate’s Degrees from Los Angeles City College and Pierce College. Additionally, a certification in Legal Secretary Training was obtained from UCLA Extension.
