Yailanis Cruz

Yailanis Cruz currently serves as a K-5 Substitute Teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District, providing academic instruction and fostering positive learning environments. Prior experience includes working as a Developmental Client Coach at Positive Development, where Yailanis worked one-on-one with autistic children. Yailanis has held multiple leadership roles at the Society of Physical and Occupational Therapy (SPOT) at UCLA, including Co-President and Community Outreach Chair, and has been involved in various tutoring and mentoring programs through UCLA BruinCorps. With research experience in environmental health disparities and training in mindfulness and developmental therapy, Yailanis demonstrates a strong commitment to education and community support. Yailanis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology from UCLA and an Associate of Arts degree from the Los Angeles Community College District.
