Lea M.

Lea M. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Lea is currently the Head of Legal Affairs and Compliance at Loterie Romande, a position they have held since June 2023. Prior to their current role, they served as the Chief Compliance & Regulation Officer and Head of Mission to the CEO at Loterie Romande from March 2020 to June 2023. Lea also founded Polaris Strategic Foresight in September 2017. Lea has lectured at the University of Lausanne since September 2018 and at the University of Lucerne from February 2015 to August 2018. Lea has also worked at INTERFACE Politikstudien Forschung Beratung as the Head of Interface Suisse Romande from March 2018 to January 2020. Lea started their career in 2007 as an intern at Bundesverwaltung, where they gained experience in project management and event organization. Lea has also held roles at Swiss Parliament as an Evaluator and Project Manager from April 2014 to August 2017, and at IDHEAP - Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration as a Research Associate from October 2008 to December 2013. Lea was a Visiting Research Scholar at Columbia University in the City of New York in April 2013 and briefly worked as a Junior Consultant at Detecon International GmbH in September 2008. Lea has a background in public policy, performance, and corporate social responsibility, with a specialization in gambling regulation.

Lea M. has a diverse education history. Lea obtained an Executive MBA from IMD in 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Public Management from IDHEAP and HEC University of Lausanne, with the years of study ranging from 2009 to 2013. In 2011, they participated in a summer program at the University of Michigan on Structural Equation Models with Latent Variables: Statistics and Data Analysis II Matrix Algebra. Lea'sMaster of Arts (MA) in International Relations was earned from IHEID / Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, which they completed from 2002 to 2006.

Additionally, Lea M. has acquired several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. Lea obtained a certification in New Technologies for Business Leaders from Coursera Course Certificates in March 2018. Lea also achieved certification for their PhD in Public Management from UNIL - Université de Lausanne in December 2013. Lastly, they hold a certification for their MA in International Relations from the University of Geneva, obtained in October 2006.
